DACS To Hear About XP System
DANBURY â Microsoftâs new operating system, XP, will be the subject of discussion at the Danbury Area Computer Societyâs (DACS) general meeting at 8 pm on Tuesday, November 6, in the Danbury Hospital auditorium.
John Stroiney, Microsoftâs representative, will demonstrate and explain Windows XP to DACS members and visitors. The topics to be covered are remote assistance, organizing and sharing digital photos, the new Windows Media Player, Windows XPâs movie maker, how games are improved under XP, and how Windows Messenger is used for communication. The meeting is free to the public.
Before the main meeting, DACS will be presented a certificate of appreciation from Danbury SeniorNet Learning Center, to which DACS provides crucial assistance. From 7 to 7:30 pm, computer-related questions will be posed with answers provided by Bruce Preston. For more information check www.dacs.org or call 748-4330.
Coming in December is John Patrick, vice president of Internet technology. Mr Patrick is scheduled to talk about his new book at the meeting.
