To the Editor:

There's something special about growing up in Newtown.  This town becomes a part of who you are.  Like me, Matt Cole was raised here.  He attended public schools here, ran cross country here, volunteered here, and goes to church here. In short, Matt Cole is Newtown through and through.  It's why I think he'd be a great state representative for us! 

He knows how great our schools are, and will fight to make sure our students and teachers have the tools they need to keep them that way.  He knows that Newtown is a great place to raise a family, and will support smart investments to make it that way for future generations.  He also knows firsthand the challenges we have been facing as we continue to heal, and will support the needed resources to help us keep moving forward.

On top of that, Matt's studies as a social worker make him a skilled listener and problem solver, and give him a strong background in a range of policy matters.

As Newtown continues to move forward, we need someone in Hartford listening to us, advocating for us, and truly representing us.  I think Matt Cole is the best person to do that job, and hope you'll join me in voting for him on November 4!
