Getting Connected Internet Course

The Learning Center at Ashlar of Newtown is sponsoring a free computer course, Getting Connected, to help new computer users get connected to the Internet. The free course is offered on two dates, Tuesday, November 6, or Thursday, November 15, from 10 am to noon at Ashlar.

Ronda Hodge, the website/graphic designer for Masonicare, Inc, will be the instructor. She currently teaches a web graphics course for beginners at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Participants in the course will receive their own email address. They will learn how email and the Internet works. The class will discuss newsrooms and chat rooms, bulletin boards and forums, as well as popular magazine and newspaper websites.
