I proudly endorse my friend, Donna Rahtelli, for Legislative Council District 2.

As a resident of Newtown for over 30 years, I was lucky to meet Donna through the Newcomers Club where she quickly accepted the challenge to serve as President, recruiting me as her Treasurer. Donna gave this role her full attention, providing support to me and other Board members while always seeking improvement and new ways to fully support the Club’s mission of welcoming everyone to our community.

Donna has continued to devote her full commitment to all of the endeavors she has taken on over the years, including in her role as an elementary school teacher, the Newtown Library Board of Trustees and the start-up of a Columbiettes chapter at St Rose Parish. These endeavors have fostered her skills in leadership, communication, community service and working in a public service environment.

Donna will consistently go above and beyond the call to serve our community and support her neighbors. She is easy to work with, genuinely open to new ideas, honest and always aiming for positive change and progress. Her personal character, and spirit of service to others, will make her a great addition to the Legislative Council. Donna loves Newtown and will aim to preserve its traditions, keeping it a well desired place to live for all generations.
