Sandy Hook’s Brenda McRae was first in her age division and ninth among all female competitors in the Baltimore Marathon on October 18, her 26th marathon (including a pair of Ironman marathons).

McRae, 41, finished the hilly course in a time of 3:09.33, a personal best and good for 70th among 2,098 entrants. It also easily qualified her for the 2027 Boston Marathon, which will be her tenth Beantown marathon. McRae already qualified for the 2026 Boston race.
