To The Editor:

I have known Neil Chaudhary and his wife Jennifer for about two years now and can say that Newtown is lucky to have a candidate of his caliber running for a position so well suited for him.

Having served as both a governor and in the federal cabinet. I’ve worked with many kinds of leaders. That experience helps me recognize when someone is especially well-suited for a role — and Neil Chaudhary is one of those people.

That said. I recognize that local elections rightly belong to local voices. Still, I cannot in good conscience stay silent when Newtown has before it a candidate whose qualifications would be respected at the statehouse or even in Washington.
