Dr and Mrs Richard W. Durocher

Mariann Petersen and Dr Richard W. Durocher were married on September 1 in St Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church in Newtown by the Rev Robert Weiss. A reception followed at the Litchfield Inn.

The bride is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Henno A. Petersen of Sandy Hook. The bridegroom is the son of Mr and Mrs Henri Durocher of Springfield, Mass.

The bride had her twin sister, Liisa Mai Petersen, as her maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tiina (Petersen) Maciejko, Louise Tokman, Carole Jerusik, and Cindy Durocher.

The best man was the groom’s brother, Robert Durocher, and groomsmen were Alain Stanislas, Philip Horstmann, Ivan Bracamonte, and Christopher Durocher.

Mrs Durocher graduated from Newtown High School, then the University of Connecticut and Saint Joseph College with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nutrition. Dr Durocher graduated from Cathedral High School in Springfield, Mass., the University of Massachusetts, and the Pennsylvania College of Podiatric Medicine. He is a self-employed podiatrist.

The couple honeymooned in the Caribbean.
