Partners In Crime Mystery Discussion

The Mystery Book Discussion, “Partners in Crime,” will continue exploring the relationships of mystery solving sleuths with Evil Angels Among Them by Kate Charles. The discussion will take place on the third floor in the Special Collection Room of the library on Tuesday, October 30 at 7:30 pm.

This time the group will be talking about the relationship of London attorney, David Middleton-Brown and his artist “friend” Lucy Kingsley among other things. Evil Angels Among Them deals with a series of uncharitable happenings occurring at St Michael and All Angels. Obscene phone calls to the meek rector’s brand new bride, a distinctly unwelcoming attitude toward a new parishioner, and the refusal of the church wardens to pay church dues, are all signs of serious trouble ahead. When one of the church wardens is murdered, outside help is needed. This murder mystery is resplendent with authentic atmosphere, eccentric characters and an ingenious plot.

Join the group for lively discussions and good fellowship and then come back Monday, November 5, at 7:30 pm to meet the author. Kate Charles, originally from Illinois, currently lives in England with her husband, but she’ll be visiting Newtown with her author friend, Marcia Talley. Like her protagonist, David Middleton-Brown, she is fascinated with Anglican church architecture…and murder. Copies of the book are available at the library. Call the library at 426-4533 if you have any questions.
