Second Company Governor’s Horse Guard St Jude fundraiser, “Saddle Up Trail Ride,” 9 am to noon, Fairfield Hill campus, to benefit St Jude’s Children’s Hospital, call 734-5071 or 729-5646 to participate or to sponsor a rider.

Opening reception for “Shards Of Time,” 2-4 pm, C.H. Booth Library, 25 Main Street, free and open to all ages, reception for new exhibit by Sandy Hook artist Mark Aldrich, will be presenting text and illustrations from 15-volume series of graphic novels in the works, show will remain on view through November 21; 426-4533.

The Celebrant Singers, 2:30 pm, St Rose of Lima Church, 46 Church Hill Road, free concert, ten singers and 12-piece orchestra perform contemporary Christian music, praise and worship, personal testimony and ministry; 426-5250.
