Jessica McDonald of the Turf Ds (Girls U14), Matthew Mossbarger of the Camel Shards (Boys U10), Charlie Poarch of the Huskies (Boys U10) and Tyler Dickinson of the Blue Lightning (Boys U6) scored three goals apiece to lead their teams in action this past week.

But Lyndsey Pearlman of the Dominators (Girls U14) topped ‘em all by scoring four times to lead her side.

Here are the results –

TRAVEL

Boys U13

Newtown 4, Watertown 0 – Sean Burson notched two goals and an assist while Justin Brophy and Evan Garrett added a goal each to lead Newtown to the win. Travis LeBlanc was credited with an assist. Joey van Veen and Tommy Stewart played solid games.

Boys U12

Monroe 1, Cobras 0 (State Cup) – The Cobras were narrowly defeated in the third round of the state cup by Monroe. This was a hard fought, physical contest led defensively by a tough diamond played by Andy Kelley, Eric Fiore, Pieter Martino and Matt Rahtelli with Sean Elliot in goal. Nick Barreto, Nick Gerbo and Sam Langdon launched several shots on goal.

New Milford 2, Cobras 0 – In a game shortened by darkness, the Cobras lost their first District game despite the efforts of Richard Greenwood and Ian Solaski applying pressure most of the game. Midfield play was dominated by Robert Willis, Drew Sullivan and Patrick Thornberg. Defensively, Colin Moller and Noah Sock kept the game close.

Girls U12

Flash 2, Brookfield 0 – Tressa Scott scored a goal with an assist from Christina Gould and Caitlin Yakush scored a goal with an assist from Meaghan Harkins to lead the Flash to the win. Melissa Buccino was strong in goal and Amy Martin, Kristiana Engler and Kelly Brooks played solid mid-field.

Flash 4, Torrington 0 – Kristy Papaj scored a pair of goals while Brittany Tolla and Kristen Grabowski added one each to lead the Flash to the win. Tressa Scott, Morgan Kirol, were solid in defense while Bridget Power, Lindsay Jossick, Katie Shirley and Julia Trudell played solid mid-field.

Boys U11

Beasts 6, New Fairfield 1 – Sam Pliszka scored two goals as Jonah Muniz, Brandon Marks, Stefan Dullinger and Phil Healy added one each to lead the Beasts to the win The defense was strong, led by Logan Puleri, Adam Hufziger, Owen Gaston and Matt Baldino. Andre Martinez and Austin Raftery were solid in goal.

Girls U11

Jaguars 5, Middlebury 0 – Allie Brazo and Angela Halili scored two goals as the Jaguars improved to 4-2. Taylor Brady scored a goal. Danielle Shine and Karlie Kuligowski played great in goal to share in the shut out. Sally Martinelli and Abigail Kuligowski had some great midfield and forward combination passes.

Boys U10

Southbury 2, White Lightning 0 – In a tough loss to Southbury, Newtown was lead by Luca Imbimbo, Knute Johnson and Ryan King who kept the game close by controlling the ball. Dillon Wikramanayake played great making many steals. Colin Reilly put in another great midfield performance.

Girls U10

Lightning 1, Southbury 1 – Sarah Lynch scored for the Lightning in a tight match with Southbury. Caroline Tanner and Meghan Korchman had good all-around games, and Dale Shearin and Amy Martinelli performed well in the net.

Lightning 2, Brookfield 1 – Cassie Fischer sparked the offense for the Lightning, scoring the first goal early in the second half. Sarah Lynch also scored off an assist by Kailee Dunnigan, leading the Lightning to the win. Lynch and Shelby Tolla were strong in goal. The Lightning improved to 8-2-2.

IN-HOUSE

Girls U14

Hurricanes 4, The Rage 0 – Samantha Lew, Casey-Rose Kearns, Kristen DeGirolamo and Michelle Spanedda each scored a goal while Grace McKinley had as assist to lead the Hurricanes. Elena Unschuld and Lew shared the shutout in net. For The Rage, Amanda Stanton, Molly Sheluck and Alexandra Duris all played well in goal as Katie Burns and Matilda Dean had solid games.

Turf Trashers 4, Turf Ds 1 – Kaitlyn Connolly scored two goals while Sammy Wray and Em Audet added one goal apiece to lead the Trashers to the win. Abigail Bruno played great in goal. For the Turf Ds, Courtney Beckett scored the goal. Lauren Sarna and Emma Sabin played well in goal while Sarah Stofko played well at midfield.

Turf Ds 5, Dominators 5 – Jessica McDonald scored three goals while Emma Iannini and Courtney Beckett scored one goal apiece to lead the Turf Ds. Nicole Haghpanah and Kyra Murray played well on offense while Emily Rowe play great in the midfield. For the Dominators, Lyndsey Pearlman scored four goals while Kelly and Jennifer VanVeen combined to score a goal. Jennifer Davies played well in goal. Jilliana Ciamarra and Emily Floros played very well on defense.

Sharpshooters 3, Danbury 0 – Zoe Eggleston scored two goals and Jane Sclafani scored on an assist from Hayley Naphen to lead the ‘Shooters. Gabrielle Milano and Meagan Foy also added assists. Great defensive play by Lauren Meyer and Rachel Rode in midfield.

Boys U14

Liverpool 6, Danbury 3 – Josh Branchflower scored two goals and Jake Tolson added a goal off a direct kick to lead Liverpool to the win. Carter Law help fire up the offense while Luke Piazza, Luke Shearin and Bobby Mascher anchored the D.

TNT 2, Meteors 1 – Hunter Bassett scored the winning goal off an assist from Chris Arnone. Mike Terlaga also scored. Fredrik Dean and Jimmy Russo played strong in midfield, while Robbie Beier had some great saves in goal. Kieran Lardner scored for the Meteors as Ethan Perkus and Ian Lew controlled the midfield and Zach Baudisch anchored the defense.

Danbury 2, Dynamite 0 – Despite strong all around performances by Craig Frigon and Yossi Kohrman Glaser, Danbury secured the win. Justin Germak and Michael Greenwood both played well in goal while Tim Bock had another strong game at midfield and Ryan Pisani played well on offense.

Girls U10

Nighthawks 0, Mad Monkeys 0 – It was a strong defensive battle between the Nighthawks and the Mad Monkeys resulting in a scoreless draw. For the Nighthawks, the defense was led by Renee Henriques and Portia Baudisch, with strong forward play by Alyssa Ruefenacht, Bailey Smith, and Susan Ziegler. The Mad Monkeys offense was led by Aspen Kraushaar, Caitlin Keane and Geralyn Klein. Emily Clark and Morgan Daniels were a force on defense.

Comets 2, Strikers 1 – Hayley Dunn scored both goals to lead the Comets to the win. Kat Jennings had great offensive performance. Hannah Delia and Courtney Datin were strong in goal and Taylor Zingaro was key to the defense. For the Strikers, Kelsey Muniz scored the lone goal as Emily Sippin, Katie Bedell and A’ine Duffy all played well in goal. Tanner Tardie and Brenna Kelly had good games all around.

Rockets 1, Soccer Shockers 0 – Emily Pieretti scored the lone goal to lift the Rockets to the win. Megan Milano and Julia DiLuoffo played well on offense as Brianna Baranowski was solid in goal. For the Shockers, Caitlen Clark, Eliza Eggleston, Helene Sorensen, Kimberly Brello and Julia Rist played well.

Boys U10

Camel Shards 4, Dynamite 3 – Matthew Mossbarger scored three times and Connor Roche scored once to lift the Shars to the win. Joseph Anastasi did an excellent job as goalie and Curtis Giles played a great game overall. Connor Miller scored twice with Mitchell Stewart scoring the third goal for Dynamite. Alec Beauchemin did a great job as goalie, Wesley Morlock played strong defense, and Patrick Berger was solid in the midfield.

Scorpions 2, Hurricanes 0 – Goals by Dave Pierce and Patrick Rowley lifted the Scorpions to the win. Cary Deyoung and Izaiah Volpe played well. For the Hurricanes, Noah Velush-Rogers played well in goal as Sander Nydell had a great game on defense. Otto Kerler gave an awesome effort on offense.

The Oskars 7, Huskies 3 – Dillon Palumbo (2), Albert Dean (2), Jeremy Doski, Mustafa Sakhi and Spencer Tolson scored to lead The Oskars to the win. For the Huskies, Charlie Poarch scored three goals with Michael Alicea playing great on offense. Nicholas Klein and Sean McMullan anchored the defense.

Girls U8

Skunks 3, Power 0 – Emily Charash scored two goals while Clare Boyle scored her first goal of the season with an assist by Haley Elise to lead the Skunks. Molly Dardine and Ashling Sugarman also provided assists. For the Power, Anne Hoffman and Kayla Disibio controlled the offense with Morgan Goldstein strong on defense.

Mustangs 2, Wildcats 2 – Ali Gattey scored two goals to lead the Mustangs while Erin Nelson scored two goals to lead the Wildcats. Amy Pruner and Sarah McMullin played a great game for the Mustangs while Sarah Durr, Taylor Pare and Sophia Elhag had great games for the Wildcats.

The Killers 3, Pink Panthers 1 – Anna Biondi scored twice and Caroline Keane once to lead The Killers. Stefanie Carr and Margaret Elkins played well on D. For the Panthers, Katie Reilly scored the lone goal as Mallory LoBuglio, Jada Farrington, and Kelly Merrick all played well on offense.

Huskies 2, Fighting Irish 1 – Madeline Strokis and Brianna MacDonald scored a goal a piece to lead the Huskies. Samantha Crespo played a great all-around game. For the Fighting Irish, Amanda Wikramanayake scored a goal while Megan Kelleher put in a strong offensive effort. Brianna Straiton played great on both sides of the ball and Julia Scaringella was a force on defense.

Happy Hippos 5, Huskies 1 – Julia Doyle, Kayla Crosby, Meghan Doyle, Victoria Teixeira, and Jamie Calandro all scored a goal to lead the Hippos. Maria Ringes and Amanda Albanesi played a strong game on defense.

Skunks 2, Ladies 0 – Molly Begg and Emily Charash scored off assists by Maddie Bridges and Clare Boyle to lead the Skunks. Molly Dardine was strong in goal. For the Ladies, who were shorthanded, Missy Galante controlled the ball while Jen Pirone protected the back.

Boys U8

Torpedoes 4, Blasters 0 – Matt Stewart had two goals to lead the Tornadoes to the win, James Carney and Chris Healy  also scored while. Cal Creeden provided an assist. For the Blasters, Jack Riley and Grant Larson played exceptional defense as Connor Barrett and Kelland Chrystie had some great chances on offense.

Tigers 2, Lightning Bolts 0 – Hayes Kelchner scored a pair of goals to lift the Tigers to the win. Tony Leonardi and Austin Engler played very well on offense and Harry Eppers played a tough defense. Christopher Blanco played well in goal. For the Bolts, Ryan Norton and Andrew Janco played well on offense as Daniel Gruber and goalie Ben Dieckman paced the D.

Team (#10) 4, SuperChargers 1 – CJ Shambelan, Michael Meyer and Jacob Branchflower all scored for Team #10 with Sam Duffy having a solid game. Thomas Leuci scored the lone goal for the ‘Chargers as Ian Wilson, Owen Samson and Ryan Brello played well.

Boys U6

Blue Lightning 3, Lightning 2 – Tyler Dickinson scored all three goals for the Blue lightning with offensive bursts from Tristan Filiato and David Lawrence. On defense, Jack Buchler held-off many threats. For the Lightning, Christopher Faxon and John Finnegan each scored a goal as Simon Preston played great defense throughout the game.

Hurricanes 3, Blue Lightning 1 – Joshua and Nicholas Harper combined on the three goals to lift the Hurricanes. Quinn Fitzgerald anchored the D. For the Lightning, Dylan Sock scored the goal on a free kick. Alex Hagischi made strong defensive plays, pushing the ball to to Tyler Trede and Nicolas Stowell who led numerous offensive strikes.
