Richard J. Sieley, 75, husband of Patricia (Robertson) Sieley of Sandy Hook, died October 21 at the VA Medical Center, West Haven. He was born in Bridgeport on June 14, 1931, a son of John E. and Mary (Andreycek) Sieley. He had been a resident of Sandy Hook for 40 years.
Mr Sieley served in the US Air Force during the Korean War, stationed in Korea and Japan. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was employed as a mechanical designer for Sikorsky Aircraft and Consolidated Controls of Bethel until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, survivors include his nieces and nephews and their families, Keith, Gerald, Joseph, Scott, Brian, Duane, Dale, Chip, Dennis, Kenneth and Tammy Robertson, Donna Rich, and Christine Trisko.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated October 25 in St Rose of Lima Church. Interment with military honors followed in Resurrection Cemetery.
