Taste Of Newtown To Be Part Of Chamber’s Annual Destination Newtown Business Showcase

The Chamber of Commerce of Newtown has announced the return of A Taste of Newtown to this year’s Destination Newtown Business Showcase.

“A Taste of Newtown was such a big hit at last year’s showcase. With so many new restaurants coming into town, it is getting harder to keep up. A Taste of Newtown brings these places together, in one place, where the community can sample their products, while meeting the people behind the scenes,” states Chamber President Pat Linnell.

Destination Newtown, sponsored by Chamber of Commerce of Newtown, Curtis Packaging, Newtown Savings Bank, and William Raveis Real Estate, will be held at Edmond Town Hall on Wednesday, November 8, from 4 to 8 pm. The community is invited and there is no charge to attend.

This year’s event will include samples from Andrea’s Pastry Shop, Coach’s Deli, Cold Stone Creamery, Franco’s Pizza, My Place Restaurant, and Sal e Pepe.

Destination Newtown Committee members include Nancy Adams, Newtown Savings Bank; Tricia Farin, Jantris Marketing Services; Carole Georges, Peoples Bank; Jim Gulalo, Preferred Insurance; Pat Linnell, William Raveis Real Estate; Cheri Ross, Ross Consulting; Mae Schmidle, Children’s Adventure Center; Bill Valent, Union Savings Bank; and Peggy Velthuizan, Union Savings Bank.
