‘Giants’ To Open Jazz Ensemble Season

NEW HAVEN — The Yale Jazz Ensemble will open its season with a concert called “Giants of Jazz” on Thursday, November 8, at 8 pm, in the Harkness Auditorium of Sterling Hall of Medicine, at 333 Cedar Street (YJE’s regular home, Sprague Memorial Hall, is currently undergoing renovations). The free concert will feature music from an array of the most significant musicians of our time including Miles Davis, Charlie Parker, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Buddy Rich and Charles Mignus.
