New Moms — Groups are full for fall. Please call us if you would be interested in the next round of groups.

Support Group for Parents of Children with Learning Differences — Whether your child has a special learning need, physical challenge or chronic illness, emotional challenge or ADD, this group offers support and skill building. Meetings are Monday mornings – bimonthly – 9:30 to 11 am. Upcoming meetings are November 5 and 19.

Fathers’ Nights –– Next meeting is November 12 from 7:30 to 9 pm. Fathers have special relationships with their children. Come find out why these evenings get rave reviews!

Caving In –– A workshop for parents on how not to not to do it … no matter how much whining, begging, pleading, demanding, weeping, or door-slamming invades your house. The program will be Tuesday, November 27 at 7 pm with Sue Morse, MS at Youth Services. Registration required.

Youth Programs

Special Passages Programs For High School Students —

$$$ Money $$$ — Come and learn about what you never seem to have enough of and how to make the most of what you have! Program is Wednesday, November 7, at 7 pm, at NYS. Call to register.

SibShops starting –– Free support group for siblings of children with special needs. Meeting the second Thursday of every month. Next meeting is November 8, 5:30 to 7:30 pm, pizza served. Call to register.

4-H — Elementary School meets Monday from 3:15 to 4:30 pm and Middle School meets Wednesday from 4 to 5:15 pm. Please call for information. Meetings will now be held at NYS.

New Children of Divorce Support Groups — For elementary students, Wednesdays, 5:30 to 6:30 pm. Help your children through this emotional time in their lives. Groups are ongoing. Call to register.

Youth Group Meetings

The HS YAB will meet next on Monday, November 26, from 5:30 to 6:30 pm.

The MS YAB meeting to be announced.

NYCAAP meets on Tuesdays at 5:30 pm.

Open House/Informational Meeting — Newtown Youth Services will be having an Open House and Informational Meeting on Monday, November 5, at 7 pm. If you would be interested in: Joining the Board of Directors, being a Friend of Youth Services or just learning more about NYS’ programs and services, RSVP.
