In a scant four years our national debt has increased by $5 trillion, and now stands at $8.67 trillion. National unemployment is over 17 percent if you include those that are underemployed or who have given up the job search. Obamacare has already begun to cause insurance premiums to rise and insurers to go out of business.

Sam Caliguiri as our US Representative would bring a new perspective on how to fix our ailing economy and our health care problems. Sam understands that Congress needs to control spending to cut the deficit, and that history shows that cutting taxes (not raising them) stimulates the economy and creates jobs. Sam has also pledged to repeal Obamacare. Instead he’ll help make health care more affordable and accessible by instituting policies (such as tax credits) that will keep individuals in charge of their medical decisions, rather than Obamacare’s 159+ new federal programs and bureaucracies in charge.

Dick Blumenthal says he’ll “fight to stop tax breaks to big corporations.” American businesses are already struggling due to some of the highest tax burdens in the world. Adding to their tax burden will only stimulate more layoffs.

Blumenthal’s opponent, Linda McMahon plans to institute fiscal discipline by cutting taxes and reducing spending. This will allow businesses to create jobs and individuals to keep more of their hard-earned money to care for their families, rather than Congress spending our money on pet projects.

If you care about reducing the debt burden for future generations, returning to an economy with a thriving private sector that creates jobs, and reducing the intrusion of the federal government into our daily lives, then please join me in voting for Sam Caligiuri for US Representative and Linda McMahon for US Senate on November 2.
