To The Editor:

I am proud to endorse my longtime friend, Steve Stolfi, for Legislative Council in District 1. I have known Steve for nearly 20 years. We were baseball teammates for many seasons with the Redding Ravens and even faced off against each other during our college playing days. Our families have grown up together, and while the Stolfis attend St Rose and my family attends St Thomas in Oxford, we share a deep faith, a strong sense of community, and — perhaps most importantly — a mutual love for the New York Yankees (something I hope our Red Sox friends will forgive).

Steve is a person I trust completely. He is a devoted husband and father, a man of strong moral character, and a loyal friend and teammate who consistently does what is right. I have every confidence that he will bring these same values of integrity, family, and service to his role on the Legislative Council.

Professionally, Steve works in the education technology sector with a focus on student safety and mental well-being, and he has long been a strong supporter of Newtown’s public schools. As a mental health professional, I know how critical it is to have leaders who understand the importance of supporting children’s emotional and psychological health. Steve’s insight, compassion, and advocacy in this area will be invaluable to our community.

Newtown will be well served by Steve’s thoughtful leadership, dedication, and unwavering commitment to the town he and his family are proud to call home. I wholeheartedly encourage all registered voters in District 1 to support and vote for Steve Stolfi for the Legislative Council.
