In Support of my Husband, Will Drew

Newtown’s Planning and Zoning Commission needs impartial commissioners truly invested in our community. We must move past the conflicts of interest inherent with professionals like realtors, architects, or lawyers whose judgment may be compromised by their business interests.

My husband, Will Drew is that independent voice. He is one of us: a family man with a good career who wants to see this town remain a great place to live for all. He is not “chummy with developers” and is not in business with builders. His commitment is to our town.

Will offers a critical, balanced vision. He will prioritize the long-term well-being of our community and environment while supporting smart, strategic development that helps spur job creation, increase tax revenue, and support local businesses. His proven advocacy on the Conservation Commission shows he knows how to protect Newtown’s treasures.

P&Z issues span years. We need reliable commissioners who can usher projects from conception to creation across multiple terms with a people-first mentality. Will is not a candidate who’s got a few years left to give; he is prepared to be the consistent voice of strategic development for many years to come.

Newtown’s future requires a lasting, uncompromised commitment. It needs Will.
