Renee Weimann For Town Clerk
To The Editor:
As Election Day 2025 approaches, I humbly ask for your vote for Town Clerk. Having dedicated 18 years to serving this community, I am confident in my ability to continue leading the Town Clerk’s office with dedication and a deep understanding of its evolving needs.
My extensive experience in this office has equipped me with profound knowledge, strong community connections, and a comprehensive understanding of its diverse functions, benefiting residents and professionals alike. This hands-on experience includes navigating our office through challenging times such as Sandy Hook, COVID-19, and the 2020 Presidential election, all of which have strengthened my resolve for public service.
With the dedicated work ethic our taxpayers deserve, it is time to elevate the office by leveraging technology to improve communication, enhance services, and streamline processes.
I am committed to ensuring the integrity of our local, state, and federal elections, guaranteeing every voice is heard. During the 2020 presidential election, amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, our office successfully processed nearly 8,000 absentee ballots, ensuring every vote was counted. Even with our doors closed, my fellow assistant town clerks and I ensured that essential daily operations continued without interruption, making our records accessible online for the many who rely on our resources.
My experience, dedication, and proven service record have prepared me to continue serving Newtown with integrity, care, and a fresh perspective.
A vote for me is a vote for experience, community-first leadership, and for your voice to be heard. We have a unique opportunity and a shared responsibility to guide this office into a new era of efficiency, accessibility, and trust.
Thank you for your consideration.
