Steve Stolfi Running For Legislative Council
To The Editor:
My name is Steve Stolfi, and I am proud to be running for Legislative Council in District 1. My wife and I are Connecticut natives who planted roots in Newtown 26 years ago. We raised our two daughters, Caroline and Jessica here — they both attended Newtown Public Schools and my wife’s parents recently moved to town. Over the years, we’ve come to appreciate the kindness and community spirit that makes Newtown such a special place to live.
I’m running because I want to give back to the community that has given so much to my family. I have a deep pride in Newtown and want it to be a place where everyone feels welcome, supported and heard. While I’m a Republican, I believe in working with Democrats, Independents, and all residents to do what’s best for our town.
As a member of the Newtown Lions Club, I’ve seen how much can be accomplished when people come together. With over 30 years of business leadership experience, I know that progress comes from listening, collaboration, mutual respect and having integrity — values I’ll bring to the Legislative Council if elected. I believe in town fiscal responsibility, thoughtful growth that protects our environment and small-town character and investing in what matters most — our seniors, our youth, and in our community’s future.
I’ll be committed to making decisions that strengthen Newtown for the long term. I care deeply about our town and want what is best for its future. I’d be honored to earn your support and vote for Legislative Council in District 1.
Best regards,
Steve Stolfi
Newtown
