Supports Pertoso
To The Editor:
I am writing this letter in support of Tracey Pertoso, candidate for Newtown Legislative Council District 3.
“Think like a man of action, act like a man of thought.” This quote by Henri Bergson comes to mind when I think of Tracey. She is solution and action-oriented, articulate, and always seeking to understand, learn, and grow. Everything she does is in an effort to better the lives of those around her, whether it be that of a human or an animal.
Tracey and I served on the PTA together at St Joseph School in Brookfield. Our task was to raise the necessary funds to close the gap between the tuition and the actual cost of the education provided. As PTA President, Tracey led by example and was involved in all of the fundraising efforts, whether by chairing an event or by actively supporting the other board members.
Tracey’s collaborative approach, positive attitude and ability to follow through with tasks and communications made her a very effective President. Tracey and I have also served together making Casseroles for the Hungry for the Dorothy Day House in Danbury. Every month, no matter what else Tracey has going on in her professional or personal life, she makes a casserole to help feed those who are less fortunate. Tracey exemplifies the phrase
“Service above self.” The town of Newtown will undoubtedly benefit from Tracey’s skills as a litigator, her ability to communicate with people effectively, and her passion for service, not to mention her knack for making the most of every minute of the day. I encourage all Newtown residents to learn more about Tracey and consider voting for her. She will serve all people of this town honorably. Newtown will be better off because of Tracey Pertoso.
