Lisa Gayle Pollard and Steven Charles Bigham were joined in marriage on September 2 at the Newtown Congregational Church, with the Rev Steve Gordon officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Ernest and Linda Pollard, formerly of Danbury, and now of Southport, N.C. The bridegroom is the son of Kenneth and Barbara Bigham of Newtown.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The maid of honor was Diana Cordeiro of Danbury.
Bridesmaids were Kathy Pino of Brookfield, Cara Hulse and Gina Romano of Danbury, and Jennifer Pollard of Leland, N.C.
The best man was Douglas Bigham of Westford, Mass.
Ushers were Brian Leavitt of Woodbury, Scott Pollard of Leland, N.C., Pedro Pino of Brookfield, and Jim Bowers of Shelton.
Flower girls were Kristie and Laura Pino of Brookfield and Karly Bigham of Westford, Mass. Ringer bearers were Jamison Bigham of Westford, Mass., and Zachary Pollard of Leland, N.C.
The reception was held at the Inn at Villa Bianca in Seymour.
The bride graduated from Danbury High School and Gibbs College in Norwalk with an associateâs degree in office administration. She is an administrative assistant/office technician in the Building Department of the town of Newtown.
The groom graduated from Newtown High School and the University of Rhode Island. He is a writer for The Newtown Bee.
Following a wedding trip to Aruba, Mr and Mrs Bigham reside in Southbury.
