‘Brighten Your Spirits With Long, Low Holiday Floral Designs’
The public is invited to join Town & Country Garden Club on Wednesday, November 12, at 7 pm, at Newtown Senior Center, for “Brighten Your Spirits with Long, Low Holiday Floral Designs.”
Cathy Rich will demonstrate how to have beauty in the home all year long.
Centerpieces are one of the easiest floral designs to make. They can be made with materials easily foraged from yards as well as from a bouquet from a florist or store. Add a bit of “bling” and they become a holiday arrangement.
Rich will discuss the principles and elements of design while demonstrating how to make long and low holiday centerpieces. The designs will be raffled at the end of the program.
Rich is an accredited NGC Master Flower Show Judge, and she has won the FGCCT Tribute Award for All Around Excellence. The club looks forward to welcoming her as their special guest.
Reservations are not required and there is no charge to attend Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown programs. Additional information is available by sending email to townandcountrygardenclubct@gmail.com.
Founded in 1964, Town & Country Garden Club has set out with these objectives in mind: to promote interest in horticulture, to increase knowledge of artistic use of plant material, to further the conservation of natural resources, and to encourage and assist in civic projects
The club maintains and cares for three traffic islands in the center of town — the one at the intersection of Queen Street and Church Hill Road, one at Queen Street and Glover Avenue, and one at Glover Avenue and Main-South Main Street.
