Fashion Show To Benefit Orchestra

BRIDGEPORT — A glamorous pre-concert fashion show to benefit the Greater Bridgeport Symphony will take place at Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport on Saturday, November 5.

Billed as “A Fall Fashion Spectacular,” the show will feature the latest fashions from two trendy boutiques, Posh of Fairfield and Rahelia of Fairfield. The event will commence at 5 pm and end at 7 pm in time for the pre-concert GBS Percussion Ensemble in the inner lobby of the Klein.

The 8 pm concert will feature Rachmaninoff’s romantic Piano Concerto No 2 with the pianist Joel Fan. The program will also include Brahms’ jubilant Academic Festival Overture, Beethoven’s dramatic Coriolan Overture, and Respighi’s resplendent Pines of Rome.

Patrons to the pre-concert fashion show will be treated to delicious Latino hors de’oeuvres called tapas and refreshing Latino cocktails, mojitos and sangria. Music will be provided by a lively band, The Low Tide Lingo.

All proceeds will benefit Greater Bridgeport Symphony.

Tickets to the Fashion Show Benefit are $50 per person, and the event is open only to subscribers and November 5 single ticket holders. Concert tickets costs range from $18 to $50, and there are special discount rates for groups and students under 21.

For information and reservations to the fashion show and to purchase a concert ticket or a subscription, call the GBS box office at 203-576-0263.
