‘Unity In Diversity’

Unity In Diversity, a cable television program that can be seen by residents of the greater Newtown area, is an educational experience in learning about one’s neighbors, especially through a clearer understanding of their religious heritage, spiritual values, and human culture. Viewers are invited to view local personalities with an insight into their beliefs, liturgical practice, prayer life, and commitment to better the world in which they live.

On November 9 and 11 the Rev Stephen Hoder, an American Catholic priest, will share some of the ministries of his order, the Companions of St Francis and Jude, and their work among the poor and disenfranchised people of the world. Rev Hoder will have a dialogue with the producer and host of the program, the Rev Leo McIlrath of Newtown.

Programs are aired at noon on Mondays and at 5:30 pm on Wednesdays, throughout the 14 towns of the Charter Cablevision (Channel 21) viewing area. Programs will also be viewed on Comcast Cable (Channel 23), on Wednesdays and Fridays at 6 pm and 11 am, respectively. Viewer comments and suggestions are invited; email lionofjudah56@hotmail.com
