To The Editor:

I am deeply honored to be elected to the Board of Finance. This victory is a shared commitment to responsible financial leadership, transparency, and accountability for our town.

Throughout this campaign, I heard one clear message: rising taxes are a concern for families across Newtown. I am committed to being transparent in every step of the way and holding myself and others accountable. It is important to review when each department last underwent a thorough financial evaluation and to consider whether a deeper audit could strengthen efficiency and long-term planning.

I look forward to working collaboratively with all members of the Board of Finance. Together, we will ask meaningful questions, evaluate priorities, and solve real financial challenges to ensure Newtown remains strong, stable, and fiscally responsible.

I also want to acknowledge the incredible people who make our elections possible: the election officials, registrars, town clerk, poll workers, volunteers, and everyone who encouraged, shared, prayed, and voted. Your dedication made this victory possible.
