To The Editor:

I want to thank all my friends and neighbors who honored me with their votes for a full seat on the Planning & Zoning Commission. I take my responsibilities very seriously, and I will work hard to reward your trust.

Newtown is facing many important choices about its residential and commercial development over the next few years. Both the development (and preservation) of the Fairfield Hills campus and the ongoing need to make housing more affordable for young families and seniors will be top of my mind and in the news. I am certain that not everyone will agree with every decision we make, but I am committed to a full discussion of all our alternatives. That will be a big step in the right direction.

I don’t have a monopoly on experience, and I enjoy talking with my neighbors about their concerns. Please feel free to reach out. Hopefully we can educate each other and come to better decisions for our hometown.
