To The Editor:

Thank you, district 1 voters, for electing me to Legislative Council. I also would like to publicly thank my amazing wife Kristen Stolfi who was so instrumental in my campaign, as well as Michele Buzzi, Jenn Larkin, Phil Caroll, Ben Ruben, Jeff Capeci, Charlie Gardner, and my running-mate Derek Pisani. While the overall election outcome was not positive for the Republican Party, the voters have spoken, and the voter turnout shows how deeply our community cares about Newtown’s future.

I am truly humbled and honored by the trust the voters have placed in me to serve on the Legislative Council. I also want to congratulate my fellow Republicans who were elected and to the Democrats on their victory and extend my best wishes as we begin this next term together. Our town works best when we work collaboratively, and I look forward to doing just that.

Throughout the campaign, I had the privilege of meeting so many district 1 residents hearing their thoughts about what matters most — keeping Newtown affordable, preserving our town’s character, and making thoughtful fiscally responsible decisions that reflect our shared values.

I promise to work hard for all of Newtown regardless of party affiliation. My goal is to serve on the Legislative Council with integrity, accountability, and a commitment to what is best for our town.
