Dorothy E.

Mandeville

Loved And Missed By All Who Knew Her

Dorothy E. Mandeville, 79, of Trumbull, died November 2, at St Vincent’s Medical Center. She was born in New York City, daughter of Charles O. and Amelia Pfodenhauer Nelson.

She moved to Connecticut in 1955, living in Newtown from 1971 until 1998, at which time she became a Trumbull resident.

Mrs Mandeville was a retired administrative assistant for Ethan Allen Corp, and a charter member of Christ the King Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three beloved daughters, four grandchildren, and several very special cousins. “We love you Mom, more than you will ever know and we will miss you forever.”

Mrs Mandeville loved to travel, visit, and talk with family and friends. After going to Ireland 22 times she called herself a commuter, not a visitor. She had a love of family, spirit, and kindness, a sense of humor, and will be deeply missed by all.

The family would like to thank the warm, kind, and compassionate people of St Vincent’s Hospital.

Funeral services were held Thursday, November 6, in the Christ the King Lutheran Church, with the Rev Gregory J. Wismar, Pastor, officiating. Interment was in Kensico Cemetery, Valhalla, N.Y.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Christ the King Lutheran Church, 85 Mt Pleasant Road, Newtown CT 06470.
