To the Editor:
On Sunday, October 12, Newtown Youth Football and Cheer Association held their third annual Newtown Youth Football & Cheer Day at Treadwell Park.
We would like to thank the many Newtown area businesses that so generously made donations to support our program.
 Mobil 1 Lube Express of Danbury, The Fitness Loft, Magic Garden, Salon Michelle, The Inn at Newtown, Hot Shots, Koenig Frame Works, Tambascioâs, Sweet Feet, Our Green House, Buzzâs Mobil, Premier Jewelry Design, Carminuccioâs, Newtown Exxon, Masonâs, The Dressing Room, CVS, Newtown Florist, Yankee Wine & Spirits, Hometown Wine & Spirits, The Big Y, Taipei Tokyo, Starbucks, Toro, Mexicali Rose, Newtown Country Mill, Newtown Color Center, Nina Nails, Posh Nails, Newtown Nails, My Place, Pizza Palace, Dynasty, Botsford Drive-In, Ice Cream Shop, Subway, Dunkinâ Donuts, and Bagel Delight.
We would also thank the many parents who helped man the snack shack and especially Heather Elken who helped coordinate all the parent volunteers. Also special thanks to Eric Lambert and Joe DeVellis who gathered donations from area businesses in order to make the fundraiser a success, Bagelman in Danbury for the donation of coffee, bagels, and donuts, Andreaâs Bakery for the donation of pastries, and Bagel Delight for the delicious bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches and bagel donation. Also the Richards Family for their generous donation of Poland Spring water and Newtown LAX for the use of their equipment.
