For their submission in Parks & Recreation’s sixth annual Scarecrow Contest, The Newtown Bee employees set up a bee witch scarecrow at Fairfield Hills Campus. The display assortment of bottles was labeled with creepy crawlies and other spooky items that go into “brewing” the newspaper every single week.

Of course, what would a witch be without her very own cauldron. Passersby walking through Fairfield Hills were invited to “bee part of the brew” by taking a picture in the scarecrow’s cauldron.

It seems as though people of all ages, and even a few dogs, could not help but smile when they posed by the cauldron. Cheers to everyone who submitted photos, as it is their support, along with everyone else in the community and beyond, that helps The Newtown Bee “make magic” every week.
