The rain did not keep Newtown Republican Town Committee (NRTC) members Derek Pisani and John Zachos from doing good on October 30. The two brought bag after bag of food and home items for FAITH Food Pantry. NRTC collected items at its latest meeting. The two brought in 22 bags of items.

Pisani said, “We know how much Newtown families need it ... We’re grateful. We’re definitely grateful for this service.”

Zachos said, “Aside from normal tough times with the government shutdown and holidays, it’s extremely important to help out.”

Pisani and Zachos explained that NRTC plans to collect food periodically throughout the year.
