A 'Nonscary' Message For Halloween
A âNonscaryâ Message For Halloween
To the Editor:
This letter goes out in support of Grace Christian Fellowship Church. Apparently they ruined someoneâs Halloween because of their outpouring of fellowship, hope, caring, community spirit, peace, forgiveness, kindness, acceptance. and healing.
I had a different experience on Main Street on Halloween night. It was an awesome night and yes, I did enjoy the GCFâs âpeaceful and nonscaryâ approach to what can sometimes be a scary and macabre evening. I think it was simply marvelous that the church offered a nonscary and nonthreatening perspective to what can sometimes be a rather terrifying night to some young children.
I am not a member of Grace Christian Church, but I have had the great pleasure of being invited to the churchâs different events and great community get-togethers. I will say that in my eight years in this town, meeting the folks at GCF was one of the most wonderful experiences that I have ever had in Newtown. At every visit to the church, I was greeted with the most heartwarming and endearing smiles of kindness, friendliness, and compassion that I will remember all the days of my life. You, Pastor Barry and your staff are phenomenal people. I am so grateful to know you. I am honored to have met you. I support your mission of peace, for always. Thank you for making my life better for knowing you.
Sincerely,
Meg Soto
