Barnum Museum

BRIDGEPORT — The Barnum Museum is gearing up for its annual holiday exhibition, “Celebrate the Season,” which interprets the history of the Victorian holiday era through a display of 19th Century Christmas trees and period costumes.

The exhibition will open on Friday, November 18, and will remain on view until January 9.

Exhibition gallery talks and lectures with Kathleen Maher, the museum’s acting executive director, will be offered on Sunday, December 4, from 12:30 until 2 pm; and Thursday, December 15, at 11 am and 6 pm.

The gallery talks are included with regular museum admission.

Holiday craft making for children will be available throughout the season, and is also included with museum admission.

The museum is handicapped accessible.

Regular hours are Tuesday through Saturday from 10 am until 4:30 pm, and Sunday from noon until 4:30 pm. The museum will close at 2 on Christmas Eve, and will be closed on Christmas Day. It will close at 4:30 on New Year’s Eve and will remain closed for New Year’s Day.
