Coming Together As A Tour

To the Editor:

I wanted to thank Edmond Town Hall and the Town of Newtown for allowing Grace Christian Fellowship’s addition to Halloween.

I’ve lived in Newtown for over 30 years and I take great pride in my town and the unity it endeavors to uphold. Newtown is well-known for its community atmosphere, great neighborhood feel and the many, many opportunities to come together as a town.

People are certainly entitled to their opinions, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it reflects the majority of Newtowners. The Tenet of Belief that was quoted and perceived as scary is actually from the Word of God. The Bible says in John 3:16:“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” In Matthew 13:42 it explains what will happen to those who practice lawlessness “…and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth.”

Thank you Newtown for being a town that allows for everyone, regardless of their beliefs, to come together as a community.
