Josephine M. Desien Milas

Devoted Mother and Grandmother

Josephine M. Desien Milas, 79, of Sandy Hook and formerly of Bridgeport, died November 8 in Danbury Hospital. Born in Carbondale, Penn., on February 9, 1926, she was a daughter of Louis and Catherine Ciance Desien and the widow of Bernard A. Milas.

Survivors include her beloved children, Gary Louis Milas and his wife, Gloria, of Sandy Hook and Cathy Anne Brennan and her husband, James, of Newtown; two loving sisters, Antoinette Bruno and her husband, Nicholas, of Fairfield and Mary Tavella of Trumbull; five cherished grandchildren, Daniel, Tamra, Michael, Sarah, and Joshua; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs Milas was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister and was very devoted to her family. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 12, at 9:30 am, from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 am in St Andrew Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St John Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday, November 11, from 4 to 8 pm.
