Night Of Jazz

A communitywide benefit concert to raise funds for gulf hurricane victims entitled “New Orleans Night of Jazz,” will take place on Monday, November 21, at 7 pm, at Reed Intermediate School.

Those in attendance will be treated to French pastries and coffee provided by the NHS advanced culinary students as they listen to music provided by NMS’s Jazz Ensemble and NHS’s Jazz Combo, as well as The Judson Jazz Band and the piano styling of Christopher Lee. The event will be held in the school cafetorium and will be set up like a relaxed, New Orleans-style coffee house.

Admission is $25 for adults, and $10 for students and seniors. All proceeds will go to AmeriCares, a nonprofit disaster relief and humanitarian aid organization that provides immediate response to emergency needs and also supports long-term humanitarian assistance. All checks should be made payable to AmeriCares.

Those interested in participating as a sponsor may make a pledge. Different pledge levels are: Platinum at $1,000 and up; Gold at $500 to $999; Silver at $250 to $499; Bronze at $100 to $249 and Donor from $50 to $99.
