Robbins To Be Honored

At Director’s

Cut Film Festival

RIDGEFIELD — Ridgefield will feel a little bit like Hollywood over the weekend of November 18-20 as The Ridgefield Playhouse honors Tim Robbins at its second Director’s Cut Film Festival.

Films directed by Mr Robbins will be screened at 7:30 pm each night and will be followed by a Q&A hosted by Morton Dean and Ira Joe Fisher.

On Friday, November 18, there will be a screening of Bob Roberts, to be followed by a Q&A.

Saturday will feature a screening of Cradle Will Rock, and a Q&A afterwards with Mr Robbins himself.

Then on Sunday there will be a screening of Dead Man Walking. Susan Sarandon, who is Mr Robbins’s partner, has been invited to do the Q&A for that evening’s screening.

Tickets can be purchased for all three evenings or individually. Also being offered is the VIP pass ($90) which admits purchasers to all three screenings, as well as a “Meet and Greet” with Mr Robbins at Bernard’s in Ridgefield.

Tickets for each screening are $15 for adults, $10 for seniors and $7.50 for students. There is a discount for purchasing all three films in the festival. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling the box office at 203-438-5795.

The Ridgefield Playhouse is located at 80 East Ridge Avenue in Ridgefield.
