Simple Breathing For Mind & Heart

WOODBURY — A free meditation program, “Simple Breathing Techniques for Calming Mind and Heart,” will be hosted by Woodbury Yoga Center on Sunday, November 13.

All are welcome to join Vincent D’Alessio, a teacher and board member at the yoga center, for a discussion about how through the practice of pranayama (yogic breathing techniques), one’s body, mind and spirit can be calmed. The program will begin at 6:45 pm.

Mr D’Alessio was certified as a yoga instructor in 1994 and has continued his yoga training in various disciplines including Ashtanga yoga, Anusara yoga, body-mind connection, Viniyoga and restorative yoga. He will soon be certified at the 500-hour level through The Yoga Alliance.

Following the discussion there will be a silent group meditation (free instruction will be available) and with an informal tea reception.
