November 16 â âMosaic of Newtown Historyâ Slide Lecture, 7:30 pm, free, C.H. Booth Library lower meeting room, 25 Main Street, slide lecture presentation celebrating Town Historian Dan Crusonâs new book, A Mosaic of Newtown History, will be followed by reception with the author; 426-4533.
November 19 â 18th Century Candlelight Concert, at Newtown Meeting House, 31 Main Street, 4 pm, free (reservations strongly suggested), concert sponsored by Newtown Friends of Music, in honor of tercentennial, will feature 18th Century music including works of Bach and Vivaldi; 426-6470.
November 20 â Colonial Church Service, at Newtown Congregational Church, 14 West Street, 10 am, Colonial dress optional, all welcome; 426-9024.
November 20 â Ecumenical Service in honor of Newtownâs 300 years, St Rose Church, 46 Church Hill Road, 3 pm, all welcome; 426-1014.
November 26 â On-sale date for Newtown 2005, The Way We Are After 300 Years, Lexington Gardens, 32 Church Hill Road, hardcover book selling for $25 will feature photographs by 24 Newtown photographers will feature events of past year, favorite landscapes, people at work and play, etc; photographers will be on hand to autograph copies.
