Thank You Main Street Homeowners!

To the Editor:

I have lived in Newtown for seven years and this was the first year I went to Main Street for Halloween. What a fabulous experience for my family!

The homeowners of these lovely houses were friendly and excited for this special night. They greeted my children with smiles and kind words. The homes were wonderfully decorated and I appreciated all of the work that went into each home.

I feel very strongly about having the town provide 100 percent of the candy for them. Candy is expensive and they provide a unique evening for so many families. My 8-year-old said it best, “Mom, this was the best Halloween of my life.”

Please let’s consider this service of providing the candy. The experience far outweighs the expense don’t you think?
