Newtown Stage Company To Present ‘Annie The Musical’

Newtown Stage Company will present a production of the Broadway classic Annie at Edmond Town Hall Theatre from Friday, November 21, through Sunday, November 23.

The heartwarming production brings to life the timeless story of hope, resilience, and family, featuring a talented cast of local students in grades 3-12 from Newtown and surrounding communities.

Directed by Katie Bloom, Annie showcases choreography by Erin Loucks, music direction by Ryan Loucks, costume design by Gwendolyn Niles, and stage management by Tyler Violette. The production team also includes Assistant Music Director Kelly Burger, Assistant Stage Manager Cassidy Bloom, Assistant Director Dawn Field, and Assistant Choreographer Ryan Sokira.

The title role of Annie is being played by Carolina Romano of Bridgewater. Jake Golesky of Newtown stars as Oliver Warbucks, with Sara McGann-Berman of Danbury as Grace, Olivia Grasso of Newtown as Miss Hannigan, and Elizabeth Collins as Lily St Regis.

The role of Sandy is being portrayed by Thor, a therapy dog who is part of the show thanks to his owner, Scott Weiss of Monroe.

Featured orphans include Emma Boshell, Charlotte Ciarleglio, Hailey Golesky, Lilly Lamb, Maya Loucks, and Addy Wismar-Burger.

Performances at Edmond Town Hall Theatre, 45 Main Street, are planned for Friday, November 21, at 7 pm; Saturday, November 22, at 1 and 7 pm; and Sunday, November 23, at 1 pm.

This show has a runtime of two and a half hours, which includes a 15 minute intermission with full movie theater concessions.
