Gail Marie Zaleta, 47, of Newtown, died at Danbury Hospital October 28. She was the wife of Paul A. Zaleta, Jr. Ms Zaleta was born July 26, 1961, in Danbury, daughter of John A. Hancock of Danbury and Nancy Jane Tremont Hancock.

She had attended local schools and Danbury High School. Ms Zaleta was employed by RMA of Danbury as an assistant medical laboratory technician.

In addition to her husband and her father, she is survived by her two children; and two brothers.

Cremation took place at the direction of the family. A memorial gathering was held at the Hawleyville Volunteer Fire Company, Newtown, November 9.

The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury, was in charge of arrangements.
