Longtime Bridgeport Hospital Accountant

Kathleen Carr, 54, of Bridgeport, died November 10 at the M.D. Anderson Cancer Institute, Houston, Texas. Ms Carr was born in Bridgeport, and was a lifelong resident.

 Survivors include her mother, Hanoria Murphy Carr of Bridgeport; her eight siblings, including Noreen Sherman and her husband, Walter, of Newtown; her beloved nieces and nephews; many devoted friends; and her beloved dog.

She was an accountant for Bridgeport Hospital for 30 years and a former employee for the Carolton Convalescent Hospital Fairfield. She was a member of the St Patrick’s Church Altar Society and a longtime volunteer for the parish in many capacities.

Funeral services are scheduled for Friday, November 14, at 9 am from The Larson Funeral Home, 2496 North Avenue, Bridgeport, and at 10 am in St Patrick Roman Catholic Church, Bridgeport, for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery Stratford. Calling hours were scheduled for Thursday from 4 to 8 pm.
