Flipping Fladoodles 4, Team Three 2: Matthew Bucci notched a hat-trick, scoring the first three goals for the Flipping Fladoodles, and Jordan Klein added a goal late in the game to clinch the victory over the undefeated opponent. Christian Morlock and RH Clark played great in goal and on defense and Kai Toomey had an outstanding game at midfield. For Team Three, Felix Summ, Jeroen Schickendantz and Charles Romano all played solidly on defense and Kieran Lynch and Connery Mayer worked hard at midfield.
Chihuahua Torpedoes 2, Team Six 1: Nathan Augenbraun scored two goals, the first set up on a cross from Kevin Finnegan and the second resulting from a penalty. The goalies, Kevin Finnegan and Dylan Kretz, made great saves and defenders Justin Cicarelli, Nathan Williams, Dylan Solano, Andrew Janco and Joshua Becker played well. Andrew Lee, Harry Eppers and Thomas Elliot (who hit the cross bar with a shot) were strong in midfield. Assistant coaches Peter Kretz and Kevin Finnegan Sr helped lead the team to a successful season.

Newtown Strikers 7, Fairfield 0: Newtown was led by Cole Rogalin, Josh Houle, Robby Schreiber and Jonathan Guilherme on offense. Bryce Mather was outstanding at both ends of the field. Matt Stewart recorded the shutout in goal, aided by the defensive efforts of Michael OâKeefe, Tyler Dullinger and James Carney.
Ridgefield 4, Newtown Strikers 1: Newtown fell in the first round of the Southwest District playoffs against top-seeded Ridgefield. Jonathan Guilherme scored the lone goal for Newtown, but the Strikers received strong offensive play from Bryce Mather, Alex Gerbo, John Carlson and Ryan Kiss. Defensively, the Strikers were led by Liam McNichols and Josh Houle, and James Carney played well in goal.

Greenwich 2, Cobras 1: Ian Solaski scored the lone goal off an assist from Richard Greenwood. Pieter Martino and Nick Gerbo played solidly at midfield, helping to distribute and advance the ball. Keeper Sean Elliott had one of his best efforts with several great saves. He combined with Sam Langdon, Colin Moller and Robert Willis to stop several hard shots on goal.
Cobras 2, Norwalk 1: Noah Sock netted the first goal on an assist from Kieran Lardner. Ian Solaski scored on a header off a cross from Tyler Ruefenacht. The defense, led by Sean Elliott, Alec Lockhart, Sam Langdon and Yossi Kohrman-Glaser, stifled the opponent. Richard Greenwood, Mergim Bajraliu and Nick Gerbo controlled play in the center.
Cobras 1, Ridgefield 0: Playing with a short bench, the Cobras dominated the game and won with a goal from Kieran Lardner set up by Nick Gerbo. Devin DiNicola, Mergim Bajraliu, Richard Greenwood and Tyler Ruefenacht dominated play at times. The defense, led by Alec Lockhart, Colin Moller and Yossi Kohrman-Glaser, prevented any rushes by the opponent.
Fairfield 3, Cobras 2 (3-2 in penalty kicks): Pieter Martino and Patrick Riccardi netted the goals for the Cobras. Robert Willis, Sam Langdon and Colin Moller played well on defense with many great tackles. Noah Sock, Stephen Conway, Tyler Ruefenacht and Francis Saraceni played solidly in the midfield.Â
The Cobras finished second in the District with a 7-1 record.
