Medical Issues of Driving Safety
Medical Issues of Driving Safety
DANBURY â âMedical Issues, Aging, and Driving Safety,â will be discussed at a Medical Town Meeting sponsored by Danbury Hospital on Tuesday, December 13, at 7 pm.
Dr Stephen Peters, chief of neuropsychological services, Associated Neurologists, PC, will discuss the issues associated with aging, especially when it comes to driving safety.
Questions will be discussed about when it is time to stop driving, how to tell a loved one that he or she can no longer drive, coming to terms with the loss of independence, arranging for other means of transportation, and more.
Loss of independence is a turning point for the elderly, and brings up other issues of how to get to doctorsâ appointments, do errands, take care of daily business, and other activities.
Danbury Hospital Medical Town Meetings take place in the John C. Creasy Center for Health Education auditorium at Danbury Hospital from 7 to 8:30 pm. Park free in the Blue Visitorâs parking lot, Hospital Avenue Entrance.
