Ben “Bounoventuro” Louis Cavaliere, 84, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Margaret Gross Cavaliere, died at his residence November 14, after a brief illness. Born in Bridgeport, July 2, 1924, he was a son of Louis and Camilla Colonnese Cavaliere.

 In addition to his wife of nearly 60 years, survivors include a brother, Gerald Cavaliere of Newtown.

A US Army veteran of World War II, he served as a medic in the European Theater, #643 Medical Clearing Company. Mr Cavaliere worked as a bricklayer for many years and was a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #1. He was also the Building Inspector for the Town of Stratford. He was a member of the Long Hill Fire Department with 56 years of service and was a first assistant fire chief, as well as being a fire commissioner for ten years.

Funeral services took place November 18. Interment with full military honors followed in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull.
