CCA To Host Holiday Show

DANBURY — The Connecticut Clay Artists (CCA), a group of 12 potters, will hold a three-week long holiday show at the former Reuben’s store next to Marcus Dairy, on Sugar Hollow Road.

The show will be held the first three weekends in December, Fridays, Saturday and Sundays, December 5-7, 12-14 and 19-21. Hours will be 10 am to 4 pm each day.

CCA work includes professionally handbuilt, wheel thrown and sculpted art made from stoneware, porcelain, and earthenware. The clay is fired in electric, wood, gas and Raku kilns. Clay pieces in this show are both functional and decorative.

A signature of CCA is their frequent collaborative artwork, done during their monthly workshops. The group has become famous for their team teapots and other cooperative creations including ceramic sculptures.
