Medicare Part D Bus
SOUTHBURY â Are you confused about all the options again for Medicare Part D prescription drug plans? Get your questions answered when you sign up for a spot on the computer-equipped Medicare Bus from the Connecticut Department of Social Services.
Appointments are on Thursday, December 4, from 11 am to 2 pm, to help seniors evaluate and/or choose their drug plan. This free program is open to the public and is sponsored by the Western Connecticut Area Agency on Aging (WCAAA), the Department of Social Services, and Brownstein Jewish Family Service. It takes place at the Jewish Federation, 444 Main Street North.
A list of medications should be brought along. Register early for this important, free service, as last year all spots were quickly filled. Appointments last approximately 45 minutes.
WCAAA encourages people on Medicare to have their prescriptions drugs run through the Medicare Plan Finder to make sure that they have a plan that best meets their needs for 2009. WCAAA can send a personal information form to fill out, and will return it with the three lowest-cost plans covering all or most of your prescriptions. Its number is 203-757-5449.
To RSVP for the December 4 Medicare D Bus, call Debby Horowitz, Brownstein Jewish Family service director, at 203-267-3177, extension 105.
