Scenes From

A Different Perspective

Koenig FrameWorks, at 97 South Main Street (Route 25) in Newtown, will celebrate the opening of a photography exhibition called “Perspective” on Friday, November 28. An opening reception is planned that evening from 7 to 9:30.

The exhibition will feature photographs by Newtown residents Art Anderson, Bob Berthier and Frank Gardner; it will remain on view through December 24.

The photographers have each won awards for their work in the past.

Mr Berthier is a member of Flagpole Photographers; Mr Anderson and Mr Gardner, are both members of Candlewood Valley Photo Club.

Mr Anderson’s name is well known in this area, having been a past president and current member of Candlewood Camera Club, and shows with Housatonic Art League, DiGrazia Vineyard in Brookfield, and countless group shows around the area

Among other projects, Mr Berthier and Mr Gardner spent two weeks at Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming in October 2006, where they captured frame after frame of that region’s natural beauty.

All three live in Newtown, and in addition to showing their work individually, the friends and photographers have collaborated a few times with exhibitions of their work at Booth Library.

Also on November 28, the art gallery and framing shop will host a book signing event for fellow Newtown resident Andrea Zimmermann, who will sign copies of her newest release, The Case Files of Detective Laszlo Briscoe.
