About 8:49 am November 13, motorist Shane Fusco, 33, of Brookfield, who was driving a commercial 2008 Dodge 3500 pickup truck northward on South Main Street, was attempting to make a right turn onto eastbound Ethan Allen Road, police said.
At that time, northbound motorist John Licursi, Jr, 27, of Stamford, who was driving a 2003 Audi A-4 sedan behind the truck, attempted to pass the truck on the right, but collided with it, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Licursi for passing on the right. Police verbally warned Fusco for failure to use a turn signal.
Hall Lane
About 11:45 pm November 14, motorist Samantha Williams, 17, of 72 Forest Drive was driving a 2001 Subaru Forester with two passengers on Hall Lane, near its intersection with Currituck Road, when the vehicle traveled off the road and struck a tree, police report. Police said Williams told them that she had been driving too fast at the time.
There were no injuries. Police issued Williams a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions.
Honda Vs Ford
While traveling southward near 99 South Main Street about 10:32 am November 14, motorist Erin Bolmer, 55, of 31 Swamp Road, who was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar minivan, came to an abrupt stop for a vehicle ahead of the Ford, which had stopped to make a turn, police said.
Southbound motorist Megan Casey, 17, of 33 Taunton Lake Drive, who was driving a 2004 Honda Accord, then struck the rear end of the Ford, police said. There were no injuries. Casey received a written warning for traveling at an unreasonable distance, police said.
Hydroplaning Auto
Motorist Danielle Reilly, 18, of Monroe was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus westward on Mile Hill Road, near Mile Hill Road South, about 1:15 pm November 8 in wet, rainy conditions, when she applied her brakes, but then started hydroplaning, resulting in the auto turning sideways, entering a gravel driveway and then striking a wooden post, police said.
Reilly was not injured. Police verbally warned her for traveling too fast for conditions.
Minivan Hits Dog
About 12:30 am November 14, motorist Melanie Ancin-Scott, 54, of 18 Mt Pleasant Road was driving a 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan southward on Mt Pleasant Road, when a dog ran out in front of the vehicle, resulting in a collision, police said.
The dog was transported to a veterinary hospital where it died, police said. Ancin-Scott was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Toddy Hill Road
Motorist Cortney Veccherelli, 29, of Holly Ridge, N.C., was driving a 1990 Plymouth Sundance southward near 118 Toddy Hill Road about 9:35 pm November 13, when a deer entered the road and collided with the auto, police said. Veccherelli was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
DUI Arrest
Police said that a witness reported to them an erratic motorist who was driving a Subaru Legacy northward on South Main Street about 10:53 pm November 15.
Police said the erratic motorist had driven off the road and knocked down some traffic signs at the intersection of South Main Street and Mile Hill Road. The driver then left the scene of the collision, according to police.
Police said they then located motorist Kathy Klesitz, 52, of 14 Turkey Roost Road, on Church Hill Road where they stopped her to investigate. Police charged Klesitz with driving under the influence, evading responsibility, and making a restricted turn.
After she posted $100 bail, police released her for a December 2 court appearance.
Toyota MVA
Motorist Ivy Pearson, 42, of Pearl Street was driving a 2002 Toyota station wagon northward on Mt Pleasant Road, near Taunton Lake Road, about 10:22 am November 11, when a deer entered the street and collided with the auto, police report. Pearson was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Buick Hit
Sometime between 11 am and 1 pm on November 16, someone who was driving what may have been a white vehicle, made a turn onto Main Street in the vicinity of Church Hill Road, colliding with a 2001 Buick LeSabre that was parked unoccupied on Main Street, police said.
Police are investigating and ask anyone who knows who was driving the vehicle that hit and damaged the Buick to contact officer Richard Monckton at the police station at 426-5841.
Dodge Truck
Motorist Joseph J. Bonauito III, 20, of Fairfield was driving a 2007 Dodge pickup truck southward on Charter Ridge Drive about 2 pm November 11, when he saw another vehicle traveling northward in the middle of that road, police said.
Bonauito then swerved to the right to avoid a collision, but struck a curbside residential mailbox at 23 Charter Ridge Drive, according to police. The offending vehicle was not located.
Bonauito was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Honda Coupe
Police report that motorist Katherine Anderheggen, 24, of Monroe, who was driving a 2003 Honda Accord coupe on Toddy Hill Road about 4:50 am November 15, fell asleep at the wheel, went off the right side of the road and struck a pole.
Anderheggen was not injured, according to police. Police said they verbally warned her for traveling too fast for conditions.
Wasserman Way
A two-vehicle accident occurred about 12:30 pm November 13 on Wasserman Way, near the ramps for Exit 11 of Interstate 84.
Motorist Heather Aldo, 37, of Southbury was driving a 2000 Honda Accord eastward in the in the right-turn-only lane for the Exit 11 on-ramp and then stopped for a red traffic signal there, after which the Honda was hit from behind by eastbound motorist Esta Samuel, 81, of Southbury, who was driving a 2002 Chrysler sedan, police said.
There were no injuries. Police verbally warned Samuel for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
Three Vehicles
Motorist Robert OâNeil, 48, of Bethel, who was driving a 1994 Subaru Legacy station wagon eastward on Sugar Street about 8:05 am November 14, stopped in order to allow a driver to enter Sugar Street from Madison Drive, police said.
Eastbound motorist Shane Eaton, 38, of Bethel, who was driving a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee, then stopped behind the Subaru, police said.
Eastbound motorist Michael OâSullivan, 29, of Bethel, who was driving a 1998 Jeep Wrangler, then struck the rear end of the Grand Cherokee, pushing the Grand Cherokee into the rear end of the Subaru, according to police.
There were no injuries. Police issued OâSullivan a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
VW Accident
About 4:25 am November 16, motorist Scott Arconti, 23, of Danbury , who was driving a 1998 Volkswagen GTI westward on Interstate 84, east of Exit 11, went off the roadâs left shoulder and struck an about 100-foot-length of guard cabling, state police report.
Arconti was not injured. State police said they issued Arconti a traffic infraction for the accident.
Highway Crash
About 4:58 am on November 15, motorist Tracie Dee Hunsinger, 42, of Hazelton, Penn, who was driving a 2008 Honda Fit eastward on Interstate 84, west of Exit 10, was struck from behind by a dark-colored vehicle which then left the scene, state police said.
Hunsinger was not injured. State police are investigating.
Rainy Conditions
Motorist Crystal Dupre, 20, of New Fairfield was driving a 1991 Geo Prizm eastward on Interstate 84, near Exit 10, about 9 am November 15, when she lost control of the vehicle on a curve in the road during rainy conditions, resulting in the auto spinning around and striking some guard cabling along the right road shoulder, state police said.
Dupre was not injured. State police issued her an infraction for traveling too fast for conditions.
Reckless Driving
At about 4:45 pm on November 10, state police measured a vehicle speed of 95 miles per hour for motorist Matthew Prybylski, 24, of Ocala, Fla., who was driving on Interstate 84. Prybylski nearly collided with another vehicle on the highway, state police said.
After stopping him to investigate, state police charged Prybylski with reckless driving and with failure to drive in the proper lane. State police held him on $1,000 bail for a court appearance.
Eight Charges
Police report that while conducting a seatbelt compliance check late on the morning of November 16 on Wasserman Way, near Exit 11 of Interstate 84, they stopped motorist Danielle Gadoci, 19, of 331 South Main Street for a seatbelt violation.
Police said they used their German shepherd to sniff the vehicle and the dog indicated the presence of drugs inside the vehicle.
After investigating, police charged Gadoci with failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to have automotive insurance, second-degree forgery, possession of a hallucinogenic substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor in a motor vehicle, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance.
Police released Gadoci on $100 bail for a December 2 court appearance.
Flagpole Crash
About 12:15 pm November 16, motorist Gary Freer, 50, of Naugatuck, who was driving a 1988 Chevrolet pickup truck westward on Church Hill Road, stopped at a stop sign at that streetâs intersection with Main Street, police report.
Freer checked for approaching traffic and then attempted to make left turn onto southbound South Main Street, but collided with the 100-foot-tall flagpole that stands in the middle of the intersection, police said.
Freer was not injured. Police issued him a written warning for making a restricted turn.
Pontiac Hits Tree
While driving a 2006 Pontiac G-6 coupe westward on Wasserman Way about 10:15 am November 15, motorist Tyler Fellone, 22, of New Fairfield, while attempting to negotiate a curve in the road, drove off the pavement and struck a tree that stands about 150 feet east of Mile Hill Road South, police said.
Fellone was not injured, police said. Fellone received a written warning for traveling too fast for conditions, police said.
Gas Station Collision
Motorist Raymond Dantes, 57, of Pittsburgh, N.H., who was driving a camper at noon on November 16 at the Mobil gas station at 62 Church Hill Road, was pulling away from a gasoline pump when the left rear section of the camper collided with that pump, police report.
The impact damaged the pump and the camper, police said. There were no injuries. Police took no enforcement.
Toddy Hill Crash
Motorist Wlodzimierz Stezelecki, 48, of 6 Settlers Lane, was driving a 1995 Mitsubishi Galant sedan southward near 27 Toddy Hill Road about 7:25 pm November 12, when a deer ran onto the road, resulting in a collision, according to police.
The deer left the scene of the accident. Stezelecki was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
Nissan Vs Honda
Motorist Mohammad Haghpanah, 57, of 197 Sugar Street was driving a 2005 Honda Civic sedan westward on Sugar Street, near its intersection with Boggs Hill Road, at about 12:26 pm November 18, when traffic slowed suddenly, police said.
Haghpanah then slowed the Honda suddenly, police said.
Westbound motorist Meredith Letso, 17, of 93 Poverty Hollow Road, who was driving a 2007 Nissan Sentra sedan, then collided with the rear end of the Honda, police said.
Ambulance volunteers transported Haghpanah to Danbury Hospital for treatment of injuries, police said. Letso received a written warning for failure to drive a reasonable distance apart, according to police.
Subaru Impact
Motorist Dawtsun Shih, 45, of 11 Bristle Lane was driving a 2003 Subaru Outback eastward near 208 Sugar Street about 5:50 pm November 11, when a deer entered the road, resulting in a collision, according to police. The deer died. Shih was not injured. Police took no enforcement.
South Main MVA
Motorist Russell Strasburger, 41, of Seymour, who was driving a 1995 Dodge Intrepid sedan, was waiting on northbound South Main Street for traffic to clear so he could make a left turn onto Country Club Road about 2:25 pm November 17, police report.
Motorist Luis Castaneda, 53, of Danbury, who was driving a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck, then made a right turn from Mile Hill Road onto northbound South Main Street and struck the rear end of the Dodge, according to police.
There were no injuries. Castaneda received an infraction for following too closely, police said.
